Accounting recovery
We restore the books of Polish companies. We put overdue or incorrectly kept accounting in order, reconstruct data, reconcile balances, prepare tax corrections and financial statements, and bring the books to a state that allows proper ongoing accounting.
Backlogs covering several months or years
Books have not been kept up to date, or have been kept unreliably, for an extended period.
Errors left by the previous accounting office
Incorrect entries, reclassifications and settlements left behind by the previous provider.
Missing declarations and financial statements
VAT, JPK and CIT returns, as well as financial statements, that were never filed or prepared.
Incomplete documentation
Source documents are only partly complete - we identify what is missing and where it can be retrieved from.

In which situations do we help?
Accounting was not kept for several months or years
The company operated, bank transactions were made, invoices were issued, but the books were effectively not maintained.
The previous accounting office left errors or backlogs
The books exist, but there is no certainty that VAT, CIT, JPK and balances are correct.
Documents or accounting data are missing
Part of the invoices, bank statements, registers, settlements or fixed asset data is missing.
Declarations or financial statements were not filed
For example JPK, CIT-8, financial statements, payroll or ZUS settlements.
The tax office or KRS ordered the company to fulfil its obligations
The case requires a fast response and well-organised documentation.
The management board took over a company and does not know the real state of the books
Change of owners, director, CFO or chief accountant, company acquisition.
The company is changing its accounting office, but the history must be put in order first
Taking over the service without fixing the past transfers the errors to the new provider.
What exactly do we reconstruct and fix?
Books of account
Accounting entries, journal, general ledger accounts, trial balances.
Settlements and banks
Bank, cash, receivables, liabilities, set-offs, payments.
VAT and JPK
VAT registers, JPK_V7, EU VAT, WNT/WDT, import and export.
CIT
Tax result settlement, CIT-8, advance payments, tax costs and revenues.
KSeF and source documents
Sales and purchase invoices, electronic documentation. KSeF can be one of the sources for reconstructing documentation.
Fixed assets
Register, initial values, depreciation.
HR, payroll and ZUS
Payrolls, social contribution settlements and ZUS declarations within the agreed scope.
Financial statements
Balance sheet, profit and loss statement, additional information, XML files and KRS documents.
We reconstruct data even when documentation is incomplete
You do not need a complete folder of documents to start the process. We reconstruct data from many independent sources:
What does the process look like?
- 01
Diagnosis of the accounting state
We establish what exists, what is missing, which periods are closed and which data is reliable.
- 02
Map of gaps and risks
You receive a concrete list: missing periods and documents, errors, unfiled declarations and potential tax consequences.
- 03
Recovery plan and quote
Only after the diagnosis do we define the full scope of work and prepare a project quote.
- 04
Reconstruction of the books and corrections
Reconstruction of entries, balance reconciliation, declaration corrections and completion of reporting.
- 05
Project closure and handover of ongoing accounting
The books are brought up to the agreed date and can be properly maintained going forward.
We do not stop your ongoing accounting
When a company is, for example, 12 months behind, you cannot spend the next months reconstructing history while creating new backlogs. That is why we work in two parallel tracks:
Track A - ongoing accounting
Current months are handled normally: documents, declarations and reports are processed on an ongoing basis.
Track B - recovery
Historical periods are successively reconstructed and closed according to the recovery plan.
What do you receive after the project is completed?
- Books put in order up to the agreed date
- Reconciled bank and settlement balances
- Reconstructed registers and records
- A list of corrections made
- Declarations and reporting completed within the agreed scope
- A list of open risks that could not be removed
- Documentation enabling further proper bookkeeping
International accounting - the hardest cases
We most often take over cases where the problem goes beyond simply posting invoices:
Changing your accounting office does not remove problems from previous periods
Under the Polish Accounting Act, the head of the entity remains responsible for performing accounting duties and supervision, even when bookkeeping is outsourced to an external provider.
The Act provides for liability, among other things, for failing to bring the books to the required state, keeping them inconsistent with the actual state, and for violations related to the financial statement.
That is why backlogs are worth putting in order consciously and in a planned way, instead of transferring them to the next periods and the next providers.
How much does accounting recovery cost?
Recovery is a project, not a subscription service. The cost depends on four factors:
- the number of months or years of backlog
- the number of documents and transactions
- the state of the existing books
- the number of tax and international areas to reconstruct
Cooperation model
Stage 1 - analysis and diagnosis
A fixed price set after a short qualification. The cost of the diagnosis is credited towards the project if you order the recovery.
Stage 2 - recovery
A specific project quote based on the diagnosis results.
